Linda Ayre designs are custom cut to your figure. This may be a new concept for you so here I have supplied you with lots information that will guide you for your design and help you give me whats needed for your perfect fit. (more details below the measuring links)
Some designs are ready- made in my showroom. These may be mailed next
day. If the size needs adjustments/alterations to enable it fit
perfectly there may be a charge.
If I am custom cutting your dress to order then changes and adjustments in styling or cut are always possible to suit your requirements, especially for your performance/event. I will chat with you to see if there are any questions you may have regarding the design you have chosen. There may be charges for items such as additional design time, cutting / sewing labor or materials for changes over and above the original price.
Timing for custom orders
The majority of my Latin, Tango and Party Dresses take 2 to 4 weeks. Ballroom dresses and Evening wear may take longer than 4 weeks, sometimes up to 2 months dependent on availability of materials. Bridal may take longer depending on the style and availability of fabric or the complexity of the decoration. 6 months is a good guideline for complex bridal dresses. Or for Bride plus bridesmaids.

I have many fabrics in stock. Alternative fabrics/colors can be substituted. I can guide you on any costs involved.

What is Customizing
 Sizing up hips or bust, cutting to fit petite or tall, or shortening a length is customizing.
Restyling refers to adjustments such as adding sleeves to a sleeveless style or changing the cut/fullness of a skirt on a dress. This is a longer process and the price will increase accordingly. There will be an hourly charge for my time. A phone consultation and approval process is important to ensure that you are happy with the style and accept the costs involved. If the changes are substantial, a toile/mock up (test) garment may be mailed to you for your approval.I can show you changes in progress with photographs too.
The final garment may take 2 to 12 weeks dependent on the style involved and your sizing and our schedule at the time (average garment is 3 weeks).
Sizing and Measurements
For mail order, I will advise you as to which measurements I require for your particular style garment. Measuring will take approximately 20 - 30 minutes. It is advisable to have someone capable to help you. Giving me your 'usual' dress size is not adequate, since most stores/designers have their own ideas as to sizing. I work from 'your' body measurements for the best results. I email you my detailed measurement chart for you to fill in and will give you feedback if anything appears to be wrong.

Alterations/adjustments
It is possible to mail the garment back for adjustments or additonal decoration. There would be an hourly charge for labor. We can discuss this before I start.
